\n– Meet at 8 a.m. at the dive centre where your equipment will be waiting for you on the boat, returning around 1.30 p.m. after two dives.

Important: safety is paramount when diving in Madagascar. Please consult our safety page by clicking on the link at the bottom of this page. For example, we are fortunate to have a hyperbaric chamber on the island less than 3 kilometres away.<\/p>\n

– Accommodation is free in a clean single room at the centre, if available, or in a dormitory. Two dives per day = one night’s accommodation (if booked online in advance).
\n– The Nosy Lodge, located next to the diving club, offers a 20% discount on rooms when booking online (please specify \u2018Scuba Nosy Be diver price\u2019).<\/p>\n

\n– Manta rays and Mobula rays: no real season, but more numerous from August to December.

– \u201cCruise\u201d in Radama, Mitsio, Iranja, Nosy Saba and Nosy Lava.<\/p>\n

–\u00a0 Seasons: January, February and March: rainy season, so generally good weather during the day and often rain at night, but beware, every year there are two or three cyclones over Nosy Be, so bad or even very bad weather for a few days. In short: few divers, but more risky in terms of weather.
\n– Temperature
\n– May to end of October: 26\u00b0C 5 mm wetsuit + hood for those who feel the cold.
\n– November to end of April: 28-29\u00b0C 3 mm wetsuit or shorty.<\/p>\n

–\u00a0 Health: no compulsory vaccinations for Nosy Be, advice for the \u2018low\u2019 risk of malaria: mosquito repellent and mosquito net.<\/p>\n

–\u00a0 Credit cards are often refused in shops, so bring euros in large denominations (no \u20ac5, \u20ac10 or \u20ac20 notes). There are also several cash machines in Nosy Be.<\/p>\n

– Visa: to be obtained at the airport upon arrival in Madagascar.<\/p>\n

–\u00a0 Diving: S80 aluminium tank (11.1l) for a single dive, DIN and stirrup, 15l steel tanks must be booked in advance. Bring a pair of socks in case the fins are a little too big, and bring 40,000 ar if you are diving in Tanikely Park.<\/p>\n
