For example, we are fortunate to have a hyperbaric chamber on the island less than 3 kilometres away.<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; Accommodation is free in a clean single room at the centre, if available, or in a dormitory. In short: few divers, but more risky in terms of weather.<br \/>\n&#8211; Temperature<br \/>\n&#8211; May to end of October: 26\u00b0C 5 mm wetsuit + hood for those who feel the cold.<br \/>\n&#8211; November to end of April: 28-29\u00b0C 3 mm wetsuit or shorty.<\/p>\n<p>&#8211;\u00a0 Health: no compulsory vaccinations for Nosy Be, advice for the \u2018low\u2019 risk of malaria: mosquito repellent and mosquito net.<\/p>\n<p>&#8211;\u00a0 Credit cards are often refused in shops, so bring euros in large denominations (no \u20ac5, \u20ac10 or \u20ac20 notes). There are also several cash machines in Nosy Be.<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; Visa: to be obtained at the airport upon arrival in Madagascar.<\/p>\n<p>&#8211;\u00a0 Diving: S80 aluminium tank (11.1l) for a single dive, DIN and stirrup, 15l steel tanks must be booked in advance.
