Diving in Nosy Iranja offers several beautiful sites – South Canyon Drop off, Gaby Rock etc – teeming with fish – leopard sharks, grey sharks, white tip sharks, tunas, tazars, barracudas – and also with other smaller forms of marine life – nudibranchs, antennas etc.

The Nosy Iranja region is accessible as a day trip from Nosy be (1h30 boat trip each way). We choose to include an overnight stay so that you can enjoy Nosy Iranja before the day-trippers arrive and once the tourists have left (if you choose to stay in a traditional hut)

In an ecolodge: The Naturalia Lodge.

 

Le Naturalia ecolodge is the ideal place to enjoy Nosy Iranja and also make the most of a superb beach on Grande Terre (Madagascar).

Please note that the hotel is not on Nosy Iranja island, but just opposite, on the mainland, 10 minutes by boat.

Far from the hustle and bustle of civilisation and noisy surroundings, nestling between green hills and turquoise waters.

The NATURALIA LODGE is probably one of the most original structures in the region, combining several types of atmosphere on an ecological theme with a hotel service, a table d’hôte, and a nature lodge.

The structure is managed by a French couple who welcome their guests in a friendly atmosphere.

It was built with natural materials on the lines of a traditional construction, following the ancestral knowledge of the local inhabitants.

Prices below: based on 2 people per bungalow (add 20€/day for one person per bungalow).

Departure around 8am on the first day, return on the last day around 5pm.

Safety : On the catamaran, nitrox diving is an option (2 divers max per group); you can also do the 3 / 5 m safety stops with pure oxygen even if you do not have specific training.

In a “traditional hut”

Camp on the island of Nosy Iranja, one of the most beautiful places in all Madagascar.

The campsite : a small Malagasy bungalow-tent with a mosquito net, and double bed – simple but comfortable! The best bit is the location, right on the edge of the water, on a superb beach of white sand. It’s difficult to imagine anything more beautiful! (Basic bathroom facilities – shower and WC – are on the campsite..
